Head Coach Ned Scaduto

Ned Scaduto
Head Coach

Ned enters his fifth season as head coach of the Hawks following several seasons as an assistant at Southeastern. Appointed Head Coach in 2002, Ned inherited a team struggling through many seasons of mediocrity, hoping to bring the program to a level of respectability. After suffering through back to back losing seasons, hard work would pay off as the Southeastern Regional Hawks brought home the school's first ever state title in any sport as they defeated the Hyde Park Blue Stars, 13-0, in the 2004 Division 4 EMass Super Bowl. Ned was also recognized by his peers as he was voted Coach of the Year in the Mayflower League.

Not a man to rest on his laurels, last season Ned lead the Hawks back to the Division 4 EMass Super Bowl where they successfully defended their title, beating the O'Bryant Tigers, 28-7. His hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed as Ned was named Coach of the Year in the Mayflower League, New England Patriots High School Coach of the Week and the Division 4 Coach of the Year by the Boston Globe.

From his many years as an assistant with the Apponequet Pop Warner to his many seasons patrolling the sidelines at Southeastern as both as assistant and defensive coordinator, Ned has developed the knowledge to be successful while developing a genuine love of the game. It is this knowledge and love of the game that he works to instill into each and every player.

Ned recently retired after 30 years of teaching at Southeastern in the school's adult education HVAC program. Outside of football, Ned is also the school's head varsity baseball coach. In his spare time Ned is an avid follower of football and baseball and somehow finds time to golf and play softball.

Defensive Coordinator William Clifford

Bill Clifford
Defensive Coordinator, Linebackers

Bill, or as the players affectionately refer to as "Coach Cliff", enters the fifth year of his second stint with the Hawks. He previously coached the Hawks from 1988-1992. Before coaching at Southeastern, Clifford was a member of the Bridgewater State College coaching staff from 1968-1975. His stint at Bridgewater State College was preceded by four seasons as a player for the Bears and two seasons at Brockton High School.

Two seasons ago, with Clifford making the calls, the Southeastern defense would prove to be the toughest in the conference. The Hawks defense was tops in scoring defense and allowed only two backs to reach the century mark in rushing. The dominance of the Hawks defense was never more evident than in the Hawks first trip to the Division 4 EMass Super Bowl. Boston South champions, the Hyde Park Blue Stars, would struggle all night as they gained a mere 39 yards on 33 plays and had two passes picked off along the way. The Hawks defense would continue it's dominance in last season's Super Bowl as it held the O'Bryant Tigers two eight offensive plays in the entire first half. The Southeastern defense dominated from start to finish as the Hawks intercepted four passes, the last being returned 30 yards for a touchdown to seal the game.

Bill is currently retired after teaching in the Brockton School System from 1968-2005.

Offensive Coordinator

Mike Merrick
Offensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, Running Backs, Quarterbacks

Mike enters his second season as a member of the Hawks coaching staff after serving as the Head Coach at Holbrook High School for three seasons. Before being named Head Coach he was a member of the Holbrook staff as an assistant for seven seasons and coached the Randolph/Holbrook Blue Devils for another twenty years. During his time with the Blue Devils, he helped lead them to three Pop Warner Championships. As a high school coach he has helped develop sound football players with many going on to have excellent careers at both the college and semi-pro ranks. Mike began his playing career in the Randolph Pop Warner program, moved on to play at Milton Academy and ended his playing career after playing four seasons at Blue Hills Regional.

Outside of football, Merrick works for the Norfolk County Sheriff's Department and also finds time to coach baseball. In his leisure time he enjoys lifting weights and fishing.

Assistant Coach Jeff Cziska

Jeff Cziska
Offensive Linemen

Jeff retired from coaching in 2001 after spending four seasons at Old Colony. A phone call several weeks into the 2004 season changed all of that as Jeff joined the Hawks coaching staff three games into the season. He now enters his third season as a member of the Hawks coaching staff. Prior to his four seasons ar Old Colony Jeff spent two seasons at Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech. Jeff was a three year letter winner in football at Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech and went on to play college football at UMass Boston. Unfortunately, his career was cut short during his second season at UMass after sustaining a severe neck injury.

Jeff will receive his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology this December from UMass Boston. He is also a musician and his spare time he is an avid reader of any books pertaining to football and enjoys working at and attending football coaching clinics.

Assistant Coach Ron Lippett

Ron Lippett
Defensive Backs

A man who should need very little of an introduction, Ronnie joins the Hawks this season following several seasons coaching at the the college, semi-pro and high school levels. Following his playing days with the Miami Hurricanes he went on to join your very own New England Patriots. At Miami, Ronnie was a three-year starter for Hurricanes, recording 141 total tackles and grabbing 10 interceptions along the way. The Pro Bowl corner brings to his resume enough awards and accolades to justify his place in Patriots football history. Ronnie currently ranks as seventh on the Patriots all-time list with 22 career interceptions and was a member of New England's first ever Super Bowl squad.

Outside of coaching, Ronnie works throughout the country as a motivational speaker and coaches at numerous football camps throughout the year. He resides in Easton with his wife and children, as well as several foster children.

Assistant Freshmen Coach Ernie Vozzella

Ernie Vozzella
Assistant Freshmen Coach

A 2006 graduate of Southeastern, Ernie joins the Hawks coaching staff this season folowing four seasons as a player. Last season, Ernie anchored the Southeastern defensive line, helping the Hawks win their second consecutive Division 4 EMass Super Bowl Championship. In a 28-7 victory, the Hawks defensive held a tough O'Bryant Tigers squad to just seven offensive plays in the first half. He also shared time the previous season on the offensive line in the Hawks 13-0 victory of the Hyde Park Blue Stars. A true student of the game, Ernie should prove a valuable asset to Hawks coaching staff.
