The Hawks finished the season on a disappointing note as they lost to Shawsheen 27-14 on Thursday. A 20 point outburst by the Rams in the second quarter would prove to be too much to overcome, as the Hawks trailed 27-8 at the half. The Hawks finished the season 8-4.
Despite dropping the second annual Turkey Day clash against the South Shore Vikings, the Hawks season continues. Next Thursday the Hawks travel to Quincy High School to play in the State Vocational Super Bowl against the Shawsheen Rams.
The Junior Varsity and Freshmen football teams both wrapped up their seasons Saturday at South Shore. The Freshmen dominated from start to finish, running away with an easy 36-6 victory. They finished their season at 8-2.

The Junior Varsity was not so lucky as they dropped a 22-14 decision to the Vikings. The loss dropped their record to 7-2 on the season. Junior Nick Guido had a phenomenal day, scoring all the Hawks points and ending up with just under 250 all-purpose yards.
Following a disappointing first half, the Hawks came out on fire as they exploded with 26 second half points. Matt Newcomb put an exclamation point on the afternoon when he returned an interception 95 yards for a touchdown on the final play of the game. The 40 points scored were a season high for the Hawks and could not have come at a better time with only one regular season game remaining

The Hawks look to punch their ticket to the post-season when they host the South Shore Vikings at 10:00AM on Turkey Day.
The improbable happened Sunday when Blue Hills lost 16-14 to South Shore. With the loss, the Hawks still find themselves in the chase for a league title and MIAA playoff appearance. Friday's loss to Martha's Vineyard looked to all but seal Southeastern's fate, but now the Hawks still find themselves in th title hunt.
The Hawks proved to be their own worst enemy as they lost to Martha's Vineyard 13-0 last Friday. The Southeastern offense had a chance to tie the game just before the half, but their drive would stall at the 3 yard line as time expired. The Hawks began to gain momemtum in the 4th quarter as they began marching down the field after a missed field goal by the Vineyarders. However, the momemtum would swing the other way when a forced fumble would be returned for a touchdown.

Despite the loss, the Hawks still control their own destiny in seeing the post-season. A State Vocational Super Bowl appearance is on the line. Any talk of Super Bowls will have to wait though. The Hawks have other business to take care of when Bishop Connolly comes to town this Saturday at 1PM.
Defense! Did I mention defense? The Southeastern Hawks football came back from last week's setback to beat the Bristol-Plymouth Craftsman, 14-0 on Saturday. With the win the Hawks raise their record to 7-1 on the season and keep their playoff hopes alive. The Hawks offense did score two touchdowns to take the Homecoming Day victory, but the defense played to near perfection. With A.J. Goucher and Nicholas Bullard each getting 13 tackles a piece, the Hawks held the Craftsmen to 20 yards of total offense. Bristol-Plymouth only managed 3 yards of offense in the first half.

The Hawks look to build off the defensive massacre when they travel to Martha's Vineyard this Friday at 5:30 PM.
All season long the Hawks have been able to come back from costly mistakes to pick up the victory. Unfortunately, the Hawks would make one mistake too many as they fell to the Blue Hills Warriors 14-8. Despite controlling the clock and holding the Warriors to a mere 43 yards in the second half, the Southeastern offense would fail to convert on two key fourth downs late in the game. A beaten and bruised Blue Hills team, physically outmatched on both sides of the ball, would walk off the field victorious.
Despite some costly mistakes throughout the game, the Hawks showed the heart of a champion as they defeated the defending Mayflower Large Champion Cape Cod Tech Rough Riders 14-6. Up 7-6 at the half, the Hawks would take the second half kickoff and march down the field to put the game away. More importantly, the Southeastern offense used up all but :16 of the quarter. The 4th Quarter was a all defense as Josh Hines forced and recovered a fumble. The Hawks also got two QB sacks toward the end with Eric Drayton getting one and David Mendes and Jon Cadigan sharing the other.

Now 6-0, the Hawks sit atop the Mayflower Large standings. The Hawks look to raise their record to 7-0 when they travel to Canton this Friday at 3:30 to take on the 6-0 Blue Hills Warriors.
The Hawks offense went over 300 yards rushing again as they cruised to a 32-15 victory over the Tri-County Cougars. With four different backs churning out even yardage througout the game the Cougars were unable to just key on one back. Finding the endzone twice were A.J. Goucher and Vincent Cardona, with Rafael Marmolejos scoring the other Southeastern touchdown. Ritchie Joyner rushed for a 2-point conversion. On defense Nicholas Bullard had an interception and nearly returned it for a touchdown.

With the victory, the Hawks are now 5-0 for the first time in school history. They look to make it 6-0, and more importantly 1-0 in league play when they host the Cape Cod Tech/Harwich Crusader Rough Riders. The Crusader Rough Riders are coming off a bye week and last minute 14-12 loss to Holbrook-Avon the week before. Kickoff is at 2 PM.
The Hawks came into Friday night's game knowing they would be in for their toughest game of the season. Not only were the Weston Wildcats loaded with speed and size, they were coached by the brilliant Hall of Fame coach Bob Deslauniers and one season removed from returning to the Dual County League, arguably the best league in Division 1A. Faced with the monumental task of playing a team four divisions higher, the Hawks would bring home a hard fought 26-14 victory. Southeastern would dominate from start to finish, churning out over 300 yards of offense. On the other side of the ball, the varsity defense would limit the Wildcats to less than 100 yards, with just 24 yards coming in the first half.

The Hawks look to go to 5-0 for the first time in school history when they travel to Franklin next Saturday to take on the Tri-County Cougars. Kickoff is at 1PM.
The Southeastern offense definitely showed signs of improvment this week rushing the ball 35 times for 316 yards and 4 touchdowns. The starting defense as usual had another stellar performance allowing just 72 yards on 28 plays. The JV defense, although giving up 71 yards on 12 plays did preserve the shutout with a four and out from the Hawks 9 yard line.

The Hawks look to go 4-0 when they travel to Weston next Friday night at 7PM.
Defense seems to be the key word to describe the Hawks this season as the offense continues to gel. Last week the Hawks defense held Nantucket to 4 yards rushing and 72 yards overall in a 14-6 victory. Despite the offense not putting the ball in the endzone on a regular basis, the Hawks still managed to put up over 250 yards. More importantly, the offense won the time of possession war chewing up over 30 of the games 40 minutes. A.J. Goucher was the leading rusher for the Hawks with 120 yards and defensively Eric Marsan pulled down two interceptions and Vincent Cardona had one as well on the Hawks 1-yard line.

The look to go 3-0 on the season when they travel to Diman for a 1PM showdown.
Despite turning the ball over numerous times and blowing several scoring opportunities, the Hawks escaped with a 12-6 overtime victory. Tim Crouch came on in relief in the second half to lead the team to victory, scoring the game winner from 10 yards out. Despite the offense struggling throughout the game, the Hawks still had 220 yards from scrimmage. The defense was impressive from start to finish as they held the Knights to under 100 yards.

The Hawks look to make it two straight when Nantucket comes to town next Saturday at 1:00PM.

The Hawks played in their final scrimmage of the preseason last Saturday against Trinity Catholic. Again both the Southeastern offense and defense were outstanding. The offense scored several touchdowns while keeping the visitors out of the endzone.

Despite playing well in both scrimmages, the Hawks will face their first true test when they travel to Northeast Metro this Saturday to take on the Knights. Last season the Knights escaped with an 8-7 victory, scoring wth no time left on the clock.
The Hawks scrimmaged the defending Division 4 Super Bowl Champs, the West Bridgewater Wildcats on Wednesday. The Southeastern offense drove the ball well, scoring several times. The defense was equally impressive holding the Wildcats to limited yardage and no scores.

The Hawks get their final tune-up of the season when the Trinity Catholic Falcons come to town for a game scrimmage this Saturday at 11:00 AM.
