Friday's game at Coyle has been postponed to Sunday at 6:00 PM and will be played at Taunton High School
The Hawks opened the season with an impressive 21-14 victory over the Northeast Knights. The Hawks scored first when Tim Crouch busted into the endzone in the 1st quarter. Nick Ready's first of three PAT's gave the Hawks a 7-0 lead entering the 2nd quarter. The Knights would make it 7-6 just seconds later as they returned the ensuing kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. The Northeast offense would score again with under :30 to play in the half. The successful conversion rush would give the Knights not only a 14-7 lead, but the ever so important momentum going into the break.

Despite being down at the half, the young Hawks took it to their much larger opponents as they scored 14 unanswered points in the 3rd quarter. Tyson Boone scored on an electrifying 30-yard run just two minutes into the quarter. Ready's kick would tie the game. Following a fumble recovery by Darryl Instasi, the Hawks would drive 80 yards for the go-ahead score. Facing a 4th and goal from the 4-yard line, Crouch would again get the call as he outraced the Knights defense and went in untouched. Nick Guido and the rest of the Southeastern defense would keep the Knights in check for the rest of the game as the Hawks prevailed.
Due to inclement weather (the field is under a foot of water in some places) the scrimmage against Minuteman has been cancelled

Instead, you will just have to wait until next Saturday when the Hawks open the season against the Northeast Metro Knights. Kickoff is at 11:00AM.
The Hawks made the long journey down Route 106 to scrimmage the West Bridgwater Wildcats this past Wednesday. The offense again churned out the yards and the defense was simply stifling at times. Most impressive was the fact that second stringers got the majority of the playing time.

The Hawks will have their final tune-up Saturday when Minutman Regional comes to town for a 10:00AM scrimmage.
The young Hawks took a long journey Wednesday for a scrimmage against the Trinity Catholic Falcons. The long trip proved worth it as both the offense and defense played well. The offense scored a few times and no offensive plays went for a loss. Not to be topped, the defense scored twice and held the Falcons scoreless.

The Hawks look to improve next week on their way to opening day when they scrimmage the West Bridgewater Wildcats at a time and place to be announced.
